Paixhi Aibu Nipiakaxi: a comprehensive care strategy for women victims of violence in Bolivia», has the general purpose that peasant, indigenous, young and lesbian women who live in the municipalities of San José, Pailón, Cuatro Cañadas, Concepción and the indigenous territory of Turubó-este in the department of Santa Cruz in Bolivia, who are survivors/victims of domestic violence and sexual violence during the Covid19 pandemic, can exercise their right to a free life. of violence, receive comprehensive care and access differential services, between now and April 2024, through 4 strategies: 1. Generation of evidence for regional and national political advocacy; 2. Alternative Comprehensive Care; 3. Strengthening enabling capacities and social awareness; and 4. Strategic communication. The location and coverage are 4 municipalities of the Santa Cruz department (San José, Pailón, Cuatro Cañadas and Concepción) and an Original Indigenous Territory (Turubó Este). It is aimed at indigenous, rural, young and lesbian women aged 15 and older who are survivors/victims of domestic and sexual violence during the pandemic.

  • Indigenous and peasant women from 15 years of age.
  • Young and adult women from feminist organizations and the Bolivian women’s movement.
  • Lesbian women.
  • Indigenous and peasant men, from 15 years old.
  • The indirect beneficiaries are:
  • SLIM staff from the municipalities of San José, Cuatro Cañadas, Concepción and Pailón
  • Indigenous authorities of the organizations • VIO servants, departmental assemblies, and councilors.
  • Residents of the territories who access information and data.
  • The public opinion that receives the information from the communications strategy.

EXPECTED RESULTS

  1. Improved access for women and girls to essential, safe and appropriate services to end Violence against Women and Girls (VAWG).
  2. Increasing the effectiveness of legislation, policies, national action plans and accountability systems to prevent and end VAWG. Intermediate result.
  3. Improving VAWG prevention through changes in behavior, practices and attitudes. 3) Recovery of ancestral practices and knowledge to promote the care of life
