What We Do

We fight for the recognition and full guarantee of sexual and reproductive rights (DSDR), social justice, a life free of violence and non-discrimination

We denounce the oppressions and structural violence of patriarchy, colonialism and capitalism, with their serious effects on the life and health of people and the planet, especially on the bodies of women, girls and the most vulnerable populations.

Colectivo Rebeldía structures its work according to the following objectives:

Feminist Advocacy

Women, youth and LGBTIQ+ organizations influence society and the State from a feminist perspective in favor of human rights, especially Sexual and Reproductive Rights (DSDR), the care and sustainability of life towards social and cultural transformations and the improvement and implementation of the existing regulatory framework.

Alliances and strengthening of women's organizations, LGBTIQ+ youth and others

Organizaciones de mujeres, juventudes y LGBTQ+ y otras son fortalecidas en sus conocimientos y liderazgos, y reciben sororidad y acompañamiento en acciones de incidencia, (definición de narrativas/ mensajes y agendas) y otros procesos

Knowledge management

Women in their diversity and women´s, youth and LGBTIQ+ organizations participate and are strengthened through knowledge for cultural transformation, values ​​and beliefs

Strategic communication

Positionings, statements and constructed narratives that question and demand the recognition of Sexual Rights and Reproductive Rights, as well as challenge conservative, fundamentalist and patriarchal pronouncements.

Internal management

A diverse team committed and identified with the work principles of Colectivo Rebeldía that has the resources (human and financial), knowledge and methodologies necessary to continue with the vindication of women’s rights

Projects

We are a collective that influences projects that fight against hegemonic violence.

The project works with women and young people from La Paz, El Alto and Cochabamba as agents of social change to question naturalized practices of violence and deconstruct established gender roles.

Articulation of sexual, gender  and dissidence diversities build processes of depatriarchalization and decolonization from a feminist, secular, intersectional and intercultural perspective to act for the rights of all, mainly lesbian, bisexual women and trans people.
